The Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer performs mechanical design and engineering activities for ZETA’s biopharmaceutical client projects. This role assists in the design and development of process systems including upstream, downstream, plasma fractionation, ADC manufacturing, and cell and gene therapy applications.
Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the Mechanical Design Engineer contributes to CAD modeling, drafting, and documentation tasks in compliance with GMP design principles and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of 3D models, assemblies, and mechanical system designs. .
- Develop P&IDs, 2D layouts, specifications, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
- Ensure designs comply with GMP, ASME BPE, and relevant engineering standards.
- Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
- Technical documentation development (BOMs, drawings, specifications).
- Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing teams as needed.
- Learn and apply GMP, ASME BPE and sanitary design principles.
